Steve has worked in the accounting profession since his graduation from the University of Illinois-Urbana. He previously worked with the “Big 8” CPA firm of Haskins & Sells now known as (Deloitte & Touche). He gained valuable experience in both domestic and international engagements in Asia, Europe, Mexico, Central, and South America. He was based in Buenos Aires, Argentina traveling to engagements throughout Latin America. He was able to perfect his foreign language skills during this time.

Steve has been associated with the firm since 1974, first asa staff accountant, and then as a principal since 1976. He is a CPA and former registered investment advisor. He has been active in professional societies and served on the state Ethics Committee for over 10 years and Chair of the Behavioral Standards Committee for 4 years. He was also Chair of the International Business Committee for 4 years.

He has published articles, speaks regularly to student and adult groups. In 1997, he was appointed to the faculty of Northwestern University McCormick School of Engineering Masters of Project Management Program teaching financial and managerial accounting to graduate students enrolled in the degree program.

His professional engagements have included individuals, public, private, governmental, and not-for-profit organizations. Steve is active in a number of civic and charitable causes he believes in.

His philosophy is to assist some wonderfully nice people try to achieve their life goals and attempt to leave this world a bit better than when he entered it. Steve still feels the passion to find solutions to the daily challenges and tribulations of our lives as they unfold before us.

Steve is married to Caren and they have a blended family consisting of 5 adult sons.

His hobbies include biking, sailing, skiing and world travel on a budget.

Suzanne Yang, CPA, Managing Director

Suzanne specializes in direct client services as financial reporting, income tax compliance and filings and management services. She offers a broad range of auditing and tax services to meet the requirements of corporate, estates, trusts, employee plans, and not for profit, and individual clients in many fields. She has two decades of experience working in the field of public accounting and brings a broad range of knowledge to help achieve our client’s goals and objectives.

Suzanne is a graduate of the University of Illinois-Chicago degree in accounting and and has a Master’s in Taxation degree from the Northern Illinois University. She is a licensed certified public accountant, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Illinois CPA Society.

She speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently as well as English. We are privileged to have her available to serve our client’s engagements.
